Alpha-actinin-1 (UniProt: P12814; also known as Alpha-actinin cytoskeletal isoform, F-actin cross-linking protein, Non-muscle alpha-actinin-1) is encoded by the ACTN1 gene (Gene ID: 87) in human. α-Actinin is a homodimeric, non-muscle cytoskeletal protein that serves as F-actin cross-linker protein and anchors actin to a variety of intracellular structures. It is found along microfilament bundles and adherens-type junctions, where it is involved in binding actin to the membrane. Its actin binding region is localized in amino acids 1-247.  It contains four spectrin repeats and has two calponin-homology (CH) domains (aa 31-135 and 144-250). α-Actinin is reported to promote activity of the L-type Ca2+ channel Cav1.2. It recruits CaV1.2 to defined surface regions and boost its open probability. Overexpression of α-actinin is frequently observed in human breast cancers. In mammary epithelial cells, higher levels of α-actinin are shown to promote cell migration  accompanied by a major reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton and the associated E-cadherin-based adhesions.  Mutations in ACTN1 gene are associated with platelet type bleeding disorder (BDPLT15) that causes a reduction in the number of large platelets and mild bleeding tendency. This ZooMAb^® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. Stato fisico

Purified recombinant mouse monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Ricostituzione

300 µg/mL after reconstitution at 25 µL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.

Stoccaggio e stabilità

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
