The coating provides a protective and functional surface layer to the manganese ferrite nanoparticles, offering various advantages and potential applications in research work.

Applicazioni

Silica coated manganese ferrite nanoparticles find applications in the research areas of targeted drug delivery and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) applications. The particles exhibit superparamagnetic behavior suitable for MRI contrast agents. In a study, silica-coated manganese ferrite nanoparticles has been found as a highly efficient T2 contrast agent compared to other reported nanoparticles justifying their potential for MRI based diagnosis of cancer.
