Tritosulfurone Metabolite M635H004 is formed from the use of a new active substance tritosulfuron, which belongs to the chemical class of sulfonylureas. Tritosulfuron― a systemic herbicide, is an acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibitor. It is used for the post-emergence control of a variety of dicotyledonous weeds in cereals and maize.
As per Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2009, repealing directive 91/414/EEC, tritosulfuron is approved for use in the European Union as a plant protection agent.
