一般說明
Dual specificity phosphatase 16 (DUSP16) is an enzyme which contains a distinctive carboxy-terminal stretch (CTS) and the gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 12.
免疫原
Dual specificity protein phosphatase 16 recombinant protein epitope signature tag (PrEST)
應用
All Prestige Antibodies Powered by Atlas Antibodies are developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project and as a result, are supported by the most extensive characterization in the industry.
The Human Protein Atlas project can be subdivided into three efforts: Human Tissue Atlas, Cancer Atlas, and Human Cell Atlas. The antibodies that have been generated in support of the Tissue and Cancer Atlas projects have been tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues and through the recent efforts of the Human Cell Atlas project, many have been characterized by immunofluorescence to map the human proteome not only at the tissue level but now at the subcellular level. These images and the collection of this vast data set can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. We also provide Prestige Antibodies® protocols and other useful information.

生化/生理作用
Dual specificity phosphatase 16 (DUSP16) acts as a negative regulator of c-Jun amino-terminal kinase (JNK) and interacts with the scaffold protein β-arrestin 2. Studies have shown that in endothelial cells, it modulates the expression of vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 (VCAM-1). It has been shown that DUSP16 shuttles between the nucleus and the cytoplasm to inhibit the activation of mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs).
特點和優勢
Prestige Antibodies® are highly characterized and extensively validated antibodies with the added benefit of all available characterization data for each target being accessible via the Human Protein Atlas portal linked just below the product name at the top of this page. The uniqueness and low cross-reactivity of the Prestige Antibodies® to other proteins are due to a thorough selection of antigen regions, affinity purification, and stringent selection. Prestige antigen controls are available for every corresponding Prestige Antibody and can be found in the linkage section.
Every Prestige Antibody is tested in the following ways:
Every Prestige Antibody is tested in the following ways:
- IHC tissue array of 44 normal human tissues and 20 of the most common cancer type tissues.
- Protein array of 364 human recombinant protein fragments.

MAPK cascades can be negatively regulated by members of the MAPK phosphatase (MKP) family. However, how MKP activity is regulated is not well characterized. MKP-7, a JNK-specific phosphatase, possesses a unique COOH-terminal stretch (CTS) in addition to domains conserved among

The mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) phosphatases or dual specificity phosphatases (DUSPs) are a family of proteins that catalyse the inactivation of MAPK in eukaryotic cells. Little is known of the expression, regulation or function of the DUSPs in human neoplasia.

Cell adhesion molecules (CAMs) are involved in a variety of pathologies including cancer, inflammation, pathogenic infections and autoimmune disease. In particular, VCAM-1, rather than ICAM-1, plays a major role in the initiation of atherosclerosis and tumor progression. Therefore, we attempted

We have explored the possible role of dual specificity phosphatases (DUSPs) on acute EGF-mediated ERK signalling using high content imaging and a delayed MEK inhibition protocol to distinguish direct and indirect effects of the phosphatases on ERK activity. Using siRNAs

MAPK phosphatase-7 (MKP-7) was identified as a JNK-specific phosphatase. However, despite its high specificity for JNK, MKP-7 interacts also with ERK. We previously showed that as a physiological consequence of their interaction, activated ERK phosphorylates MKP-7 at Ser-446, and stabilizing
