SAMD9L (Sterile a motif domain-containing protein 9-like) is an amino-terminal SAM domain containing protein located to human chromosome location 7q21.2. It is ubiquitously expressed in human tissues and is localized in the cytoplasm.

應用

The Human Protein Atlas project can be subdivided into three efforts: Human Tissue Atlas, Cancer Atlas, and Human Cell Atlas. The antibodies that have been generated in support of the Tissue and Cancer Atlas projects have been tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues and through the recent efforts of the Human Cell Atlas project, many have been characterized by immunofluorescence to map the human proteome not only at the tissue level but now at the subcellular level. We also provide Prestige Antibodies® protocols and other useful information.

生化/生理作用

SAMD9L (Sterile a motif domain-containing protein 9-like) is identified as a tumor suppressor gene. It is involved in cytokine-mediated intracellular signaling. It is down regulated in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients with hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. Absence of SAMD9L results in G1-S cell cycle transition and elevated activity of Wnt/β-catenin pathway. It is down regulated in in T and B cells of patients with metastatic melanoma. It has lower expression in breast cancer tissue. In mice, absence of samd9l is associated with myeloid malignancies closely resembling to human diseases with -7/7q-.
