据报道积雪草酸对胶质母细胞瘤、乳腺、肝脏、黑素瘤和结肠癌有毒害作用,并具有抗血管生成活性。此外,它可穿过血脑屏障,并导致人恶性胶质瘤和肝细胞瘤的细胞凋亡。积雪草酸也有效抑制紫外线A调节的信号转导通路,因此可用于防止紫外线A诱导的皮肤光老化。它具有抗伤痛和抗炎特性,对于β-淀粉样蛋白和谷氨酸酯诱导的神经毒性有抑制作用。
