一般說明

Rosenow 通过将脑组织添加到葡萄糖琼脂中设计了原始培养基。这些培养基营养丰富步步高并且缓冲良好,可支持多种微生物的生长,例如链球菌、肺炎球菌、脑膜炎球菌等。加入腹水可以培养淋球菌。由于添加了10%脱纤维羊血,它可用于分离培养荚膜组织胞浆菌和其它病原真菌。该培养基用于选择性分离难养真菌(尤其是荚膜组织胞浆菌芽生菌),通过添加以下推荐的成分混合物,几乎可以完全抑制伴生细菌和腐生酵母菌和霉菌的生长:每升 12 毫克青霉素和 40 微克链霉素; 每升 50 毫克氯霉素和 500 毫克放线菌酮; 每升 50 毫克庆大霉素和/或 50 毫克氯霉素。
当添加血液时,由于其葡萄糖含量,该培养基不太适合鉴定溶血形式。在处理荚膜组织胞浆菌时应格外小心,以避免其感染性孢子的传播。培养物应在封闭的过滤空气柜中检查。

應用

BHI 琼脂是一种通用培养基,用于从临床标本中初步分离致病性需氧菌,以及培养和维持食品、动物饲料、水和其他样品中的难养微生物。
添加到基础培养基中的脱纤维羊血为难养真菌微生物提供了必需的生长因子。

準備報告

取52 g溶于1L蒸馏水中。加热煮沸至完全溶解培养基。分装到试管或瓶中,并在121°C下高压蒸汽灭菌15分钟。
