  • Enhancement of cardiopulmonary bypass outcomes: Propofol is used in clinical trials to explore its efficacy in reducing biomarkers of organ injury during cardiac surgery. (Smartt et al., 2024).

  • Development of nanoencapsulation techniques: Propofol is being researched for its encapsulation in nanocarriers to improve its delivery efficiency and reduce side effects. Such innovations in drug delivery are aimed at enhancing the pharmacological profile of anesthetics, making them safer and more effective (Abdoullateef et al., 2024).
