Folate lipid mix for gene delivery and targeted delivery
The NanoFabTx™ gene delivery folate lipid mix is a ready-to-use nanoformulation lipid mixture for the synthesis of folate-functionalized lipid nanoparticles (LNPs).These lipid nanoparticles can be used for targeted drug delivery of nucleic acids for a wide range of applications including cancer treatment.
This product is a curated lyophilized lipid mixture of rationally selected lipids in precise ratios that have been optimized to achieve a desired size range of lipid nanoparticles. Step-by-step protocols for the synthesis of maleimide-functionalized LNPs by microfluidics with the NanoFabTx™ microfluidic- nano device kit (Cat. No. 911593) or nanoprecipitiation are included.
The overexpression of folate receptors on tumor cells is common in many different cancers, making folate a suitable targeting ligand for targeted drug delivery. Folate conjugated nanoparticles and LNPs have been used for the delivery of a variety of chemotherapies and radiodiagnostic imaging agents for cancer treatment and diagnostics. The NanoFabTx(TM) gene delivery folate lipid mix can specifically be used to prepare folate-functionalized LNPss for the delivery of novel gene therapeutics such as mRNA and siRNA.
