Allgemeine Beschreibung

Propantheline Bromide belongs to the class of quaternary ammonium compounds and is a synthetic anticholinergic drug. It is widely used as an oral agent and it exhibits antimuscarinic effect in the lower urinary tract.

Anwendung

Biochem./physiol. Wirkung

Inhibits action of acetylcholine at post-ganglionic synapses; muscarinic acetylcholine receptor antagonist; antispasmodic; reduces gastric acid secretion.
