Description générale

Acenaphthene belongs to the group of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), which are considered to be potential environmental pollutants, marine contaminants and possible human carcinogens. PAHs are released during the incomplete combustion of fossil fuels, petroleum production, oil spills and some industrial processes.

Application

Acenaphthene may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in wastewater, soil samples, aviation jet fuel and air by chromatography techniques.
