Description générale

A Snap-N-Spike® Reference Solution suitable for use in LC/MS or GC/MS applications for clinical toxicology, forensic analysis, P450 trials, or pharmaceutical research. Dextrorphan is a primary metabolite of dextromethorphan in blood. Dextromethorphan, an active ingredient in many over-the-counter cold and cough medicines, is used recreationally as a hallucinogen with effects similar to ketamine and phencyclidine (PCP).

Application


  • Anti-Persister Activity Against Borrelia burgdorferi: Dextrorphan tartrate was evaluated for its anti-persister activity against Borrelia burgdorferi, demonstrating potential as an effective agent in the treatment of persistent Lyme disease infections. This research underscores its pharmacodynamic relevance and encourages further exploration in neuropharmacological contexts (Feng et al., 2015).

  • High-Performance Liquid Chromatography in Pharmacokinetics: Dextrorphan tartrate was used in a sensitive assay involving high-performance liquid chromatography for the detection of metoprolol and its major metabolite in human plasma.
