Informations sur le gène

human ... CIRBP(1153)

Description générale

CIRBP is expressed in normal testes and downregulated after heat stress caused by cryptorchidism, varicocele or environmental temperatures.

Immunogène

synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 121-135 of human CIRBP

Application

Yale Center for High Throughput Cell Biology IF-tested antibodies. Each antibody is tested by immunofluorescence against HUVEC cells using the Yale HTCB IF protocol. To learn more about us and Yale Center for High Throughput Cell Biology partnership, visit sigma.com/htcb-if. Anti-CIRBP antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a working dilution of 1:500-1:2000.

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

Extracellular CIRBP is a detrimental factor in stimulating inflammation to cause neuronal damage in cerebral ischemia. It may have a protective effect on testicular injury after testicular torsion/detorsion when upregulated. Downregulation of CIRBP has been shown to increase germ cell apoptosis.

Forme physique

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

Neuroinflammation is a key cascade after cerebral ischemia. Excessive production of proinflammatory mediators in ischemia exacerbates brain injury. Cold-inducible RNA-binding protein (CIRP) is a newly discovered proinflammatory mediator that can be released into the circulation during hemorrhage or septic shock.
