Description générale

Method: colorimetric with test strips and reagent 0.005 - 0.010 - 0.025 - 0.05 - 0.10 - 0.25 - 0.50 mg/l As MQuant®
The arsenic test strips are suitable for measuring arsenic in water, pharmaceutical products, prepared biological specimens and liquid foods. Within this MQuant Arsenic test, test strips are used in combination with additional reagents. Arsenic is liberated from the sample by adding zinc powder, a solid acid, and - for the elimination of interfering sulfide ions - an oxidizing agent. On the reaction zone of the test strip a yellow-brown dye is formed. The concentration of arsenic(III) and arsenic(V) are measured semiquantitatively by visual comparison of the reaction zone of the test strip with the fields of a color scale. Please also not our MQuant Arsenic test (117917) for higher concentration measurements. The test strips are perfect for pre-testing a sample in an economic and quick way to estimate the arsenic concentration and a possible dilution factor prior to using a quantitative method such as a Spectroquant test.

Application

  • Arsenic in private well water part 1 of 3: Impact of the New Jersey Private Well Testing Act on household testing and mitigation behavior.: The research evaluates the impact of the New Jersey Private Well Testing Act on arsenic testing and mitigation behaviors among households, highlighting the policy′s effectiveness in promoting public health (Flanagan SV et al., 2016).

  • Evaluation of an arsenic test kit for rapid well screening in Bangladesh.: This study assesses the efficacy of an arsenic test kit for rapid screening of wells in Bangladesh, demonstrating its potential for widespread use in low-resource settings (George CM et al., 2012).

  • Evaluation of two new arsenic field test kits capable of detecting arsenic water concentrations close to 10 μg/L.: The research evaluates two new field test kits for detecting arsenic concentrations near the 10 μg/L threshold, providing a reliable method for on-site water quality assessment (Steinmaus CM et al., 2006).

  • Bacterial bioassay for rapid and accurate analysis of arsenic in highly variable groundwater samples.: This study presents a bacterial bioassay for the rapid and accurate analysis of arsenic in groundwater, offering a novel approach to environmental monitoring (Trang PT et al., 2005).
