General description

PVA polymers are functionalized with thiol-reactive groups, which react at a slower rate with thiol groups of crosslinkers (CD/PEG crosslinkers) to form stable hydrogels. The slow gelation kinetics allows enough time to conveniently manipulate the solution before the onset of homogenous gel formation. The thioglycerol is used to maintain hydrogel strength and also as a control to compare cellular behavior in peptide-modified versus unmodified hydrogels.

Application

SLO-PVA polymer is used with crosslinkers (CD/PEG crosslinkers) to establish stable hydrogels

Features and Benefits

  • Contains synthetic polymer (PVA) functionalized with thiol reactive groups for slow gelation
  • Non degradable polymer
