General description

Pyrogallol red (PGR) is an ortho-diphenolic dye. It has high reactivity towards reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species (RNS) that include peroxynitrite, radical, peroxyl radicals, hypochlorite & superoxide anion.

Application

Pyrogallol Red is suitable to prepare Fujita and Watanabe dye reagent used in Pyrogallol Red-Molybdenum (IV) complex (PR) method for the determination and quantification of urinary proteins.
