General description
The immunoglobulin G (IgG) is a major class of immunoglobulin and is highly conserved. IgG constitutes to 10−20% of the plasma proteins. This class of immunoglobulins are glycoproteins containing 82−96% protein and the remaining, carbohydrate. It exists in four subclasses namely, IgG1, IgG2, IgG3, and IgG4. IgG is composed of four polypeptide chains containing two heavy and two light chains, linked by disulfide bonds.
Specificity
The antiserum is determined to be immunospecific for goat IgG.
Application
Anti-Goat IgG (whole molecule)-FITC antibody produced in rabbit has been used for immunocytochemistry of human oocytes and preimplantation embryos.
It has also been used in enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and confocal microscopy.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Deficiency of a particular IgG subclass, may increase the susceptibility towards certain pathogens.
IgG antibody subtype is the most abundant of serum immunoglobulins of the immune system. It is secreted by B cells and is found in blood and extracellular fluids and provides protection from infections caused by bacteria, fungi and viruses. Maternal IgG is transferred to fetus through the placenta that is vital for immune defense of the neonate against infections. The coupling of FITC to Anti- Goat IgG (whole molecule) antibody allows for the visualization of protein by fluorescent microscopy.
Physical form
Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
Storage and Stability
For continuous use, store at 2-8 °C for up to one month. For extended storage, the solution may be frozen in working aliquots. Repeated freezing and thawing, or storage in "frost-free" freezers, is not recommended. If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use.

VAMP8, a member of the soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive fusion protein attachment protein receptor (SNARE) family of fusion proteins, initially characterized in endosomal and endosomal-lysosomal fusion, may also function in regulated exocytosis. VAMP8 physiological function in inflammation has not been elucidated. In

The transcription factor OCT-4 is regarded as a critical factor in controlling mammalian early embryonic development because of its role in toti-/pluripotency. In human preimplantation embryos, OCT-4 studies are limited to RNA analysis of abnormally developing embryos. This study thoroughly

It has been shown that neurons alter the expression of astrocytic metabolic enzymes by secretion of until now unknown molecule(s) into extracellular fluid. Here, we present evidence that neuron-derived transthyretin (TTR) stimulates expression of glycolytic enzymes in astrocytes which is
