General description

Millipore polypropylene filters are constructed of 100% virgin polypropylene media. Polypropylene as a membrane material demonstrates low extractables, high thermal stability, relatively fast liquid flow rates, and broad chemical compatibility, for the filtration of mobile phase, general filtration of aqueous and organic/aggressive solvents, clarification and prefiltration. Hydrophobic filters provide high particle retention, high dirt holding capacity and low pressure drop. They are designed for filtration of organic solvents, but they can also be used - once properly wetted with alcohol - for the filtration of aqueous solutions.

Application

  • Clarification organic solutions and solvent
  • General filtration
  • HPLC/LC-MS mobile phase filtration
  • Clarifying acids and bases
  • FAS sample filtration

Features and Benefits

Compatible with aggressive solvents
Filters have high dirt-holding capacity
