Gene Information

human ... IKZF1(10320)

General description

Ikaros, also known as IKZF1, is a transcription factor that is important for the regulation of lymphopoiesis and also the development of the immune system. It has also been linked to adult and fetal erythroid differentiation in humans. Ikaros has been shown to induce local chromatin accessibility during CD4+ T cell differentiation and therefore, activating Th2 expression.

Immunogen

Recombinant protein corresponding to Human Ikaros.

Application

Anti-Ikaros, clone Ik14 is an antibody against Ikaros for use in WB, ChIP, ChIP-seq.

Western Blotting Analysis: 0.5 µg/mL from a representative lot detected Ikaros in 10 µg of HL-60 and human lymph node lysate.
Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP): A representative lot of this antibody as part of a blend Ikaros clones Ik14 and E9 (catalogue numbers MABE913 and MABE912 respectively) was demonstrated to perform in ChIP. See Zhang et al. (2012).
ChIP-seq Analsysis: A representative lot of this antibody as part of a blend Ikaros clones E9 and Ik14 (catalogue number MABE912 and MABE913 respectively) was demonstrated to perform in ChIP-seq. See Zhang et al. (2012).

Cell fate depends on the interplay between chromatin regulators and transcription factors. Here we show that activity of the Mi-2β nucleosome-remodeling and histone-deacetylase (NuRD) complex was controlled by the Ikaros family of lymphoid lineage-determining proteins. Ikaros, an integral component of
