General description

Protein tyrosine phosphorylation was first described in 1979. Large numbers of tyrosine kinases have been described since, and many of the signaling pathways initiated by tyrosine phosphorylation have been delineated. Availability of a top-quality anti-phosphotyrosine antibody has allowed the study of tyrosine kinase activity by simple blotting procedures, and without routine need of large quantities of radioactivity. The 4G10 monoclonal anti-phosphotyrosine antibody (Cat. # 05-321) has been widely recognized as a highly specific and sensitive. This antibody is suitable for all applications involving protein tyrosine phosphorylation. The slightly less sensitive, but still highly regarded clone PY20 can be used as an alternative to the 4G10 product line.

Specificity

Recognizes proteins containing phosphotyrosine residues, regardless of origin.

Immunogen

Epitope: phosphotyrosine
Phosphotyrosine conjugated to carrier protein

Application

Anti-Phosphotyrosine Antibody, clone PY20, HRP Conjugate is a Mouse Monoclonal Antibody for the detection of Phosphotyrosine & has been validated in WB, ELISA.

Insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) is an essential growth factor that regulates the processes necessary for cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. The Igf1 gene encodes mature IGF-I and a carboxy-terminal extension called the E-peptide. In rodents, alternative splicing and post-translational processing
