Boron is an indispensable micronutrient crucial for promoting plant growth. It can be naturally occurring in water or introduced into water bodies through industrial waste discharges. This micronutrient plays a vital role in maintaining the structural integrity of plant cell walls, cell membranes, and reproductive tissues. Moreover, it contributes to the synthesis and reinforcement of plant cell walls and aids in the efficient uptake of potassium and phosphorous in various plant species. While boron is naturally abundant in soil as a borate mineral, the amount readily available to plants is often limited. Consequently, boron deficiency ranks as the second most prevalent micronutrient deficiency among crop plants. However, it typically requires removal from the final product, especially in the case of therapeutic antibodies, to ensure product purity and safety.
