Gene Information

human ... TUBG1(7283)

General description

Anti-Tubulin γ Antibody detects endogenous levels of total Tubulin γ protein.
TUBG1 (tubulin γ) gene is mapped to human chromosome 17q21.2. It is ubiquitously expressed but predominantly expressed in fetal neurons. It is considered to be highly conserved. Tubulin γ is localized at the microtubule organizing centers and spindle fibres during mitosis.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Tubulin gamma.

Immunogen Range: 386-435

Application

Anti-Tubulin γ, C-Terminal antibody produced in rabbit has been used in immunofluorscence.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Tubulin γ is involved in mitotic microtubule organization and nucleation.
