General description
Dynasore hydrate lowers labile cholesterol in the plasma membrane and distorts lipid raft organization. Dynasore exhibits pleotropic effects on herpes simplex virus (HSV)-1 and HSV-2 infection. It hinders viral entry, trafficking of viral proteins and capsid formation.
Application
- for priming fetal mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (fMSC)
- in confocal microscopy
- in wound healing/scratch and tube-formation assay
- to analyse its effects on Coxsackievirus A9 (CAV9) infection
- to inhibit clathrin-mediated endocytosis and caveolin-mediated endocytosis
- in live imaging of cells

Cyclic nucleotides, including cyclic AMP (cAMP), cyclic GMP (cGMP) and cyclic ADP-ribose, have been extensively studied as second messengers of intracellular events initiated by activation of GPCRs. cAMP modifies cell function in all eukaryotic cells, principally through the activation of cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA), but also through cAMP-gated ion channels and guanine nucleotide exchange factors directly activated by cAMP.
