General description

Dynasore is a small molecule GTPase inhibitor that targets dynamin-1, dynamin-2 and Drp1 (mitochondrial). Dynasore blocks dynamin-dependent endocytosis, scission of endocytic vesicles. Dynosore is profibrotic, induces PAI-1 in pleural mesothelial cells, and may be an effective pleurodesing (pleurodesis) agent. Dynasor blocks human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV16) and bovine papillomavirus type 1 (BPV1) (pseudovirions) infections.
Dynasore hydrate lowers labile cholesterol in the plasma membrane and distorts lipid raft organization. Dynasore exhibits pleotropic effects on herpes simplex virus (HSV)-1 and HSV-2 infection. It hinders viral entry, trafficking of viral proteins and capsid formation.

Application

Dynasore hydrate has been used:
  • for priming fetal mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (fMSC)
  • in confocal microscopy
  • in wound healing/scratch and tube-formation assay
  • to analyse its effects on Coxsackievirus A9 (CAV9) infection
  • to inhibit clathrin-mediated endocytosis and caveolin-mediated endocytosis
  • in live imaging of cells

Biochem/physiol Actions

Dynasore is a cell-permeable, reversible noncompetitive dynamin 1 and dynamin 2 GTPase activity inhibitor.

Cyclic nucleotides, including cyclic AMP (cAMP), cyclic GMP (cGMP) and cyclic ADP-ribose, have been extensively studied as second messengers of intracellular events initiated by activation of GPCRs. cAMP modifies cell function in all eukaryotic cells, principally through the activation of cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA), but also through cAMP-gated ion channels and guanine nucleotide exchange factors directly activated by cAMP.

Our team of scientists has experience in all areas of research including Life Science, Material Science, Chemical Synthesis, Chromatography, Analytical and many others.
