General description

Methylcyclohexane [MCH] is a clear organic flammable liquid, mostly used as a solvent. During the development of chemical kinetic mechanisms for other cycloalkanes, MCH is considered as reaction starting point.

Application

It has been used in a study to develop low temperature oxidation mechanism, merging with high temperature mechanism which simulates MCH ignition in a rapid compression kinetic machine.
