General description

Whatman Butler membrane filter dispenser from Cytiva is operated manually to dispense a sterile disc of membrane for microbiological applications.

Membrane filters for microbiological checks must be handled carefully to ensure that they remain sterile and that quantitative results are being obtained.

The Membrane Filter (MF) Technique is a reliable way to test water and wastewater, food and beverages, environmental samples and purified water systems for coliforms, E. coli, Legionella, yeast & mold, Pseudomonas, total bacteria, and other microbial contamination.
