General description

Lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide (NMC111) material is among the most promising cathode materials for Li-ion batteries (LIBs) because of its high energy density. Doped polyaniline (PANI) is an electronically conductive, semi-flexible polymer, used in composites to enhance conductivity, processability, and thermal stability. This NMC composite product consists of NMC111 particles (7.5±2.5µm D50) encapsulated in a 3D cross-linked conductive polyaniline framework with a controlled morphology to promote electronic conductivity and a stabilized solid electrolyte interphase (SEI).

Application

This NMC composite serves as an electrochemically active cathode material for LIBs. The composite not only allows fast electrical and ionic transport, but also help to stabilize the SEI layer, facilitating increased power density and improved cycle-life performance of NMC cathode at high temperature and high voltage.
