General description
Silver-exchanged zeolite selectively removes halogens from gas streams and also serves as catalyst.
Application
Silver-exchanged zeolite is used:
- As a catalyst in the low-temperature CO isotopic scrambling reaction.
- To capture radioiodine from the vapor phase, which is then thermally converted into silver sodalite.
