General description

Native, human chorionic gonadotropin from urine. A glycoprotein synthesized by chorionic tissue of the placenta and is found in urine during pregnancy. Immunopotency: ≥10,000 IU/mg (WHO 3rd IS 75/537).
Native, human chorionic gonadotropin from urine. Glycoprotein hormone synthesized by chorionic tissue of the placenta and found in urine during pregnancy. Also present in body fluids of patients with trophoblastic disease and ovarian tumors. Immunopotency: ≥10,000 IU/mg (WHO 3rd IS 75/537).

Preparation Note

Prepared from urine that has been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV and HCV.

Reconstitution

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 6 months at -20°C.
