General description

The antibody will recognize recombinant human LT-βR. Applications include in immunoblotting, flow cytometry, and agonist activity.

Immunogen

recombinant human lymphotoxin β receptor extracellular domain expressed in NS0 cells.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Lymphotoxins (LT) alpha and beta are homologs of tumor necrosis factor. These cytokines play important role in the development and function of immune system, immune response and autoimmunity. The signaling mediated by LTβ receptor mediates autoimmune reactions and the development of secondary lymphoid organs.

Physical form

Lyophilized from 0.2 μm filtered solution of phosphate buffered saline containing carbohydrates.

Tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha and lymphotoxin (LT) alpha/beta play multiple roles in the development and function of the immune system. This article focuses on three important aspects of the effects of these cytokines on the immune response and on autoimmunity.
