General description

2,4,5-Trichloroaniline is a substituted aniline with a strong activating –NH2 substituent and three weakly deactivating Cl. It is used as an intermediate for dyestuffs, pigments, pesticides, and other organic chemicals.

Application

The 2,4,5-trichloroaniline may find the following uses:

  • Experimental and theoretical study on the molecular structure and vibrational spectra of 2,4,5-trichloroaniline using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Fourier transform-Raman spectroscopy
  • Simultaneous reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic separation of mono-, di-and trichloroanilines through an optimized gradient elution experimental design
  • Exploring aroyl/heteroaroyl iminothiazolines featuring 2,4,5-trichlorophenyl moiety as a new class of potent, selective, and in- vitro efficacious glucosidase inhibitors
  • Antimicrobial studies of some novel propenones bearing aryl furan moiety
  • Calorimetric and spectroscopic studies of complex formation of 2,4,5-Trichloroaniline with proton acceptors in carbon tetrachloride
