General description

Native, alkaline phosphatase from calf intestine. Homodimeric enzyme that hydrolyzes phosphate esters of primary and secondary alcohols, amines, and phenols. Useful in hydrolysis of 5′-terminal phosphates of DNA and RNA. Note: 1KU = 1,000 units.
