General description

Cetirizine is a major metabolite of the first generation antihistamine hydroxyzine. Cetirizine is also a second generation antihistamine that is sold under the trade name Zyrtec®. This Certified Spiking Solution® is suitable for use in a variety of GC/MS or LC/MS testing applications in forensic toxicology, urine drug testing, or clinical chemistry.

Application

  • Cetirizine dihydrochloride liquid for in vitro studies: Cetirizine dihydrochloride solution is extensively utilized in in vitro biochemical assays to study histamine H1 receptor antagonism. This research is crucial for understanding the mechanisms of allergic reactions and for developing more effective antihistamine treatments (Aldawsari et al., 2023).
