生化／生理作用
芝麻素具有多种健康益处，包括降胆固醇、降压、抗癌、抗衰老、免疫调节、降血糖、抗血栓、保肝和抗氧化活性等。它还被证明可以与维生素E协同抗脂质过氧化。研究发现，芝麻素在肝脏中被代谢成几种儿茶酚形式。这些儿茶酚具有很强的清除超氧自由基的能力。
