生化/生理作用

MST-312是一种端粒酶抑制剂。端粒是存在于染色体末端的核蛋白复合物,含有会随着每个重复的细胞周期而缩短DNA片段串联重复序列。端粒缩短可引起功能的丧失,从而导致细胞衰老和有限的生存能力。逆转录酶端粒酶在永生化细胞系和大多数癌细胞系中维持着端粒的长度和功能,而端粒酶的活性也与肿瘤的发生有关。端粒延长也被认为是促进iPS细胞基因组稳定性和无限自我更新的重要因素。1 μM MST-312已显示出在U937细胞中能够有效缩短端粒长度并对增殖进行抑制。
