PYK2 (proline-rich tyrosine kinase 2, also known as FAK2/RAFTK) belongs to the focal adhesion PTK (protein tyrosine kinase) family. It is activated by signals that increases intracellular calcium concentration and also by stress signals. PYK2 is present in the endothelium, central nervous system, and hematopoietic lineages.
生化/生理作用
In osteoclasts, PYK2 (proline-rich tyrosine kinase 2) might be a crucial mediator of integrin αvβ3 signaling events that affects osteoclast physiology as well as pathology. It has a tumor-promoting role in multiple myeloma.
