應用

生化／生理作用

D-beta-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase (BDH1) helps in the interconversion of acetoacetate and (R)-3-hydroxybutyrate. BDH1 acts as an early biomarker of heart failure. This rate-limiting enzyme is essential for ketone synthesis.
