Sodium 1-heptanesulfonate belongs to the sodium alkylsulfonate group of surfactants. It has a -SO₃ head group with sodium and an alkyl chain attached to the head group. is Alkylsofonates are often used as a ion pairing reagents for ICP the analysis of cations.

應用

Redi-Dri is an innovative packaging product line that helps eliminate clumping material by adding extra packaging process steps without any chemical additives, anti-clumping agents, or hydrophobic compounds. Redi-Dri offers a more convenient and safer way to handle the products.
Sodium 1-heptanesulfonate has been used:
  • in mobile phase buffer for preequilibration of High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) column.
  • Ion-pairing reagent for HPLC to analyze peptides and proteins
  • ion pair reagent for analysis of epinephrine and norepinephrine in ion-pairing chromatography (IPC).
