The Mounting Kit for Filter allows an upgrade of standard MAS-100 NT® and MAS-100 NT® Ex microbial air samplers with a HEPA H13 filter. If the air samplers are used in different cleanroom classes, there is a minor risk that particles may be carried over inside an instrument. In this case, an upgrade with a HEPA H13 particle filter at the exhaust prevents any potential transfer of particles from higher to lower contaminated areas. The filtration efficiency of 99.95% has been verified under worst case conditions and is maintained even after long term usage of 1 year under normal sampling conditions (10 samples of 1000 Liter per day). No significant impact on the calibration of the instrument is observed in the study. The kit can easily be mounted to the exhaust of the air sampler by a view steps.To ease the workflow, it is recommended to combine the implementation of the mounting kit for filter with the yearly calibration/adjustment of the air sampler. Furthermore it is recommended to replace the filter itself on a yearly basis by the HEPA H13 filter 74 mm for MAS-100 NT®/MAS-100 NT® Ex w. filter.

The Mounting Kit for Filter is used with MAS-100 NT® or MAS-100 NT® Ex prevents contamination transfer from higher to low contaminated areas when performing microbial air sampling of ambient air. Microbial air sampling devices are extensively used in Pharmaceutical applications. Additionally, a regulation for compounding pharmacies, USP797, that requires active air sampling in the level 5 and above areas.
