一般說明
半胱天冬酶-1，也称为IL-1β转化酶（ICE），是一种酶，可裂解炎性细胞因子IL-1β和IL-18，从而释放成熟的活性肽。半胱天冬酶-1对于防御病原体很重要，并且它也参与细胞凋亡的诱导。来自半胱天冬酶-1缺陷小鼠的胸腺细胞对Fas介导的细胞凋亡具有抗性，并且半胱天冬酶-1与秀丽隐杆线虫的细胞死亡基因CED-3相似。半胱天冬酶-1是由两个反平行异二聚体组成的异四聚体，每个异二聚体由20 kDa（p20）和10 kDa（p10）亚基形成。该酶具有Tyr-Val-Ala-Asp(YVAD)的优选切割位点。半胱天冬酶-1在脾脏和肺中高表达，而在大脑中则不存在。

该抗体可识别半胱天冬酶1的p20亚基。由于92%的序列同源性，该抗体可与半胱天冬酶5发生交叉反应。此外，该抗体可识别还原型人半胱天冬酶1亚型的P45酶原（~45 kDa）和p20亚基（~20 kDa）。
