General description

Mice are widely used models for both aging and senescence because of their similarity to humans. Aging associated physiological changes and the pathological consequences of these changes make the elderly population vulnerable to many chronic diseases, such as cancer, heart disease, arthritis, osteoporosis, and cognitive decline. Many of these conditions have been modelled in mice. Over the years, intensive research of model organisms has provided fundamental evidence that aging can be delayed, and longevity extended. These findings gave rise to a new era in aging research aiming to elucidate the underlying mechanisms that drive the aging process. The MILLIPLEX® MAP Mouse Aging Magnetic Bead Panel 1 covers multifaceted biomarkers ofaging-related conditions. Monitoring these novel biomarkers helps researchers to furtherunderstand the complex biological process which may lead to new therapies postponing age-related diseases. The MILLIPLEX® MAP Mouse Aging Magnetic Bead Panel 1 is an 8-plex kit to be used for the simultaneous quantification of any or all of the following analytes in mouse serum, plasma and cell/tissue culture samples: C-C Motif Chemokine 27 (CTACK), Fibroblast Growth Factor 21 (FGF21), Progonadoliberin (GnRH), Interleukin-6 (IL-6), Protein Jagged-1 (Jagged1), Leptin, Neurogenic Locus Notch Homolog Protein 1 (Notch1), and Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha (TNFα).

Specificity

There was no or negligible cross-reactivity between the antibodies for an analyte and any of the other analytes in this panel.

Application

For optimal sensitivity, use an overnight (16-18 hour) incubation. Serum and plasma samples require (recommend) a 1:2 dilution with Assay Buffer. Tissue culture supernatants may be run neat or appropriately diluted in control medium. Each well requires 25 μL of sample, standard or control.Analytes available:CTACK/CCL27, FGF-21, GnRH, IL-6, Jag1, Leptin, Notch1, TNFα.

Features and Benefits

Design your multiplex kit by choosing available analytes within this panel.

Storage and Stability

Recommended storage for kit components is 2 - 8°C.
