General description

Sabouraud Dextrose Agar in 90 mm settle plate with 30 mL filling volume for long incubation is designed for the detection of yeasts and molds in the air via active or passive air monitoring as well as personnel monitoring on fingerprints and gloves in controlled environments in the presence of disinfectant residues and also to check the cleanliness.
Sabouraud Dextrose Medium contains digests of animal tissues (peptones), which provide a nutritional source of amino acids and nitrogenous compounds for the growth of fungi and yeasts. Dextrose is added as the energy and carbon source. The low pH value of 5.4-5.8 favors fungal growth and inhibits contaminating bacteria from samples.

Application

Sabouraud Dextrose Agar settle plate is designed for the detection of the total count of yeasts and molds in air and from personnel in less critical environments.
