General description

GranuCult® prime SABOURAUD-2% dextrose broth (According to harm. EP/USP/JP) is used for the cultivation and isolation of yeasts and molds as well as the absence test for Candida albicans. The high concentration of dextrose, in addition to the low pH, promotes the growth, the formation of spores (Conidia and Sporangia), and the formation of pigments of yeasts and molds. It also inhibits the growth of bacteria.

Application

GranuCult® prime SABOURAUD-2% dextrose broth is suitable for the cultivation of dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds. It can also be used for sterility testing and the determination of the fungi-static activity of pharmaceutical and cosmetical products.
