General description

Whatman Polydisc TF In-Line Filters from Cytiva are lightweight devices with high chemical and solvent resistance that are particulraly suitable for protective vents or in-line filtration applications.

Polydisc TF aggressive solvent filter

Filtering organic solvents and aggressive solutions calls for a chemically resistant, durable membrane. Cytiva′s Polydisc TF features a PTFE membrane resistant to such compounds. The 1 µm membrane features a polypropylene prefilter for solvent filtration containing high particulate density in order to extend the useful life of the membrane.

Application

  • Pharmaceutical: vents and in-line applications
  • Biotech: sterile vents and exhausts for growth environments, in-line sterilization of gases
  • Laboratory: clean or sterile gases. Filtration of solvents and reagents. Drying gases.
  • Electronics: photoresists, solvents, gases for research

Features and Benefits

  • Chemically resistant hydrophobic PTFE membrane is well suited as a solvent filter for many different solutions
  • Filter can be autoclaved multiple times without losing integrity
  • Integrity-testable (bubble point or water breakthrough pressure in situ methods)
  • Lightweight to prevent tube collapsing
