General description

2,4-Diaminotoluene is a primary aromatic amine (PAA) that is used in industrial and agricultural applications. It is employed as an intermediate in the manufacture of toluene diisocyanate and polyurethane foam, elastomers and coatings.
2,4-Diaminotoluene is an organic compound, which is used for the production of industrial dyes.

Application

2,4-Diaminotoluene may be used as a reference standard in the determination of 2,4-diaminotoluene in biological samples using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
2,4-Diaminotoluene may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in food packing materials, textile samples and hair dyes by various chromatographic techniques.
