General description

Anti-Histone H2A antibody detects endogenous levels of total Histone H2A protein.
Histone H2A(histone family member Z) is located on human chromosome 4q23. It contains two isoforms-H2A.Z.1 and H2A.Z.2.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Histone H2A.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Histone H2A(histone family member Z) participates in multiple epigenetic regulations and carcinogenesis. It also participates in embryonic stem (ES) cell biology. It regulates the expression of genes.
