Recombinant pancreatic ribonuclease

Application

Anti-RNASE1 antibody produced in chicken is suitable for western blotting at a working dilution of 1:500 and for cell staining at a working dilution of 1:200.

Biochem/physiol Actions

RNASE1 encodes a protein that is a subset of the ribonuclease A superfamily. It is a pancreatic type of secretory ribonuclease. It acts on the 3′-side of pyrimidine bases and cleaves internal phosphodiester RNA bonds. It is a monomer and preferentially acts on ds-RNA over ss-RNA. Human RNAse I is involved in the digestion of dietary RNA, regulation of vascular homeostasis and inactivation of the HIV. It is also involved in the activation of immature dendritic cells and induction of cytokine production.

Physical form

Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide.
