Application

Calcium nitrate tetrahydrate may be used to prepare a molten solvent mixture of acetamide (80mol%) and calcium nitrate tetrahydrate (20mol%). The absorption spectra of Co(II) chloride complexes was studied in these molten mixtures. It may be employed in the hydrothermal synthesis of rod-like hydroxyapatite.
