Biochem/physiol Actions

3,3′-dichlorobenzaldazine (DCB) serves as an allosteric ligand with neutral cooperativity. It helps to block the positive allosteric regulation of mGluRs (metabotropic glutamate receptor subtype 5 (mGluR5) with the help of 3,3′-difluorobenzaldazine (DFB) and the negative modulatory effect of 3,3′-dimethoxybenzaldazine (DMeOB).
Neutral allosteric modulator of the metabotropic glutamate receptor mGluR5.
