General description

ReadyPlate agar plates are stackable, specially designed plates that help increase safety during handling, transport, and incubation. ReadyPlate agar plates are of standard 90mm diameter. Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA, Soybean Casein Digest Agar) is a medium used for the cultivation and isolation of a wide range of bacteria, yeasts, and molds. The formulation of the Tryptic Soy Agar contains a combination of casein and soy peptones supplying organic nitrogen, particularly amino acids, and longer-chained peptides. Sodium chloride maintains the osmotic equilibrium and the medium is supplemented with neutralizers such as lecithin, polysorbate (Tween®) 80, and histidine to inactivate disinfectant residues.

Application

Tryptic Soy Agar is a universal culture medium, free from indicators and inhibitors that can support the cultivation and isolation of a wide range of bacteria, yeasts, and molds in Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical, environmental, Food and Beverages samples.
