General description

Hydroxyzine is a commonly prescribed first generation antihistamine with sedative properties. This drug is a common cocaine adulterant along with lidocaine, phenacetin, and levamisole. This Certified Spiking Solution® is suitable for use in a variety of GC/MS or LC/MS testing applications in forensic toxicology, urine drug testing, or clinical chemistry.

Application

  • Antihistamine-Retinoic Acid Receptor Interaction: This publication presents a molecular dynamics simulation and genome-wide meta-analysis to explore the interactions of antihistamines like hydroxyzine dihydrochloride with the retinoic acid receptor beta (RARB), providing insights into possible biochemical pathways and therapeutic potentials (Kim et al., 2023).
